We are here visiting from out of state and chose this place based on reviews. We ordered to go and it was ready quick and fresh. Based on recommendations we chose the dynamite vegetable Paloka appetizer and it was incredible, so much flavor and a little kick. You will not be disappointed. Hubby ordered the chicken 65 and it was a large portion for one. He loved the spices and flavors were second to none. I ordered the vegetable kofta and it was flavorful and the gravy was so good. It was two large kofta balls and lots of gravy and, of course, jasmine rice. We ordered garlic naan and it was very garlicky. Overall, this was a fantastic meal.
Sizzling Spices is great for anyone who loves authentic Indian cuisine! From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere that set the tone for an incredible dining experience. The service was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. For appetizers, we tried the Momo Himalayan Delight, which was flavorful and a perfect start to our meal. I ordered the Mughlai Chicken Korma, and my husband had the Mango Chicken. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, with rich flavors. We also shared the garlic naan, which was warm, soft, and the perfect amount of garlic. For drinks, I had the Peach Bellini, which was refreshing, but I’d highly recommend the Bengal Tiger. The combination of quality food, ambiance, and service made for a fantastic evening, and we can’t wait to return!
Andre, one of the bussers, made our entire experience wonderful, he checked up on us and made sure everything was great, food was absolutely fantastic. Naan, Chicken Biryani, Vegetable Samosa, and Butter chicken were fantastic. Food comes out piping hot and delicious.
Literally a diamond in the rough in downtown Gainesville. This little place will knock your socks off.! The food is off the chain, some of the best Indian around and fantastic service. Also, the atmosphere is so pretty. They did such a great job with the space. You really need to check this place out. We found it when we were ordering off of Uber eats, but decided to check it out in person and we’re so happily surprised!
We love Indian food and have eaten it throughout the US. Sizzling Spices is one of the best we’ve had anywhere. We’re so glad they are in our neighborhood! The hostess was kind and attentive; she made us feel so welcome. Min, the General Manger, came to our table to ask how the food was and if the spices were to our liking. We explained that it was delicious but next time we’’d get it with a little more heat and he immediately went to the kitchen and brought out a small dish with the spices in a sauce so we could add “heat” to our liking; this only added to our wonderful dining experience. The Tikka Masala and garlic naan were delicious! You will not be disappointed with a visit to this restaurant.
Wow- this is the best food in Gainesville by far! I moved here from south Florida and always had great authentic cuisine from around the world- but here in Gainesville- all the food from restaurants tastes bland and has no flavor. When an Indian restaurant came to town - I didn’t think much of it but tonight I went for the 1st time and my boyfriend and I loved every bite. I’m a vegetarian and he loves meat- something for both of us. The prices? Unbelievably fair and reasonable. These days people spend 14 at McDonalds and my vegan meal full of flavor and leftovers for tomorrow was that price. Incredible. We want to come back every week. Best restaurant in Gainesville by far. Was glad to see it busy tonight. Everyone needs to go here. And the service? Incredible!
I rarely leave google reviews, but Sizzling Spice certainly deserves one. At first impression: the atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff was incredibly personable and accommodating, and the food was cooked to perfection. Since - I have returned countless times. I prefer to sit at the bar, as the bartender, Karey is my favorite. I enjoy her kindness and humor, the bar regulars, and tasty cocktails - all while enjoying the delicious Indian cuisine. If I could, I would give this spot 10 stars. You can’t order a bad drink or a bad dish! It’s a MUST if you are in the area!
Im still in absolute disbelief that we hadn’t tried @sizzlingspicesgv sooner and I have some serious regrets. Don’t make the same mistakes I did! Whether you’re looking for a quiet date night or a fun night out with the crew, Sizzling Spices is THAT GIRL. Every single dish was so complex and flavorful. We tried the Chicken 65, Tikka Masala, Dynamite Vegetable Pakora, Tandoor Chicken Biryani, Sizzling Mix Grill, and the Fried Banana Sundae. I LOVED that you could choose the spice level for each dish, that way we were able to vary it to try several levels of heat. Whether you’re a Middle Eastern food newbie or aficionado, you’re going to LOVE Sizzling Spices. There is something for everyone to love.
